I love taking photos for any family but I especially enjoy making my own family happy with beautiful photos. The previous evening I had been out shooting landscapes and I found a great grassy field for portraits. The next evening, my wife, mother-in-law and daughter came with me to check it out. This photo shoot was a lot of fun! There were lots of smiles to be had and this shoot was extra special because it shows three generations of women in our family.
We began the shoot around 5-5:15pm. The wind was challenging at times and the sun was a bit harder than I had hoped. Regardless of this, we were able to get about 42 great images in roughly 45 minutes! This is a huge win considering one of your models is 23 months old! Almost all of my images were taken with ambient (natural) light and no flash, however, on the last few I did use my speedlight to practice a few techniques.
